How to Disable the Ethernet Gateway's Default Interface

The Default Interface of a Monnit gateway is the interface by which the gateway delivers data to the Monnit server using the proprietary protocol designed by Monnit. Disabling this interface is necessary when operating on a private network without a connection to the Monnit Software server. In other words, if you are using a Monnit device without any Monnit software, the gateway's Default Interface will need to be disabled.

ā¯•Before starting make sure the Gateway is Unlocked and that the Local Interface is accessible as these are required in order to perform the steps listed below.

Steps

  • Access to the Gateway's Local Interface.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select Default Server.
  • Select Disable.
  • Select Save Changes.
