Cellular Gateway Module Reset

A module reset is a full reset on a gateway and applies to an LTE or IoT Gateway when the gateway isn't reporting as it should.

It is recommended to place the gateway in the best situation to access to a cell tower, possibly outside or near a window for optimal communication to reach a cell tower.

To perform a module reset on a gateway, apply the following steps:

  1. Power the gateway off with the switch.
  2. Press and hold the Utility button for 20 seconds (keep holding while powering on).
  3. After the start-up test, the LEDs should all flash alternating red/green; release the button.

  1. Press and hold the Utility button for 15 seconds or so until the LEDs go dark from top to bottom.
  2. The gateway should restart.

Note: The SIM card needs to be seated correctly and the cellular subscription must be active.

More information of the IoT Gateway LEDs are found in page of the IoT Gateway User guide.
