Creating a New Database in iMonnit Express

There may be an occasion where a database in iMonnit Express 4 has problems and needs to be recreated. This article will guide you to creating a new empty database in iMonnit Express 4.

Summary of Steps

1. Purchase/retrieve a current iMonnit Express 4.0 Activation Key from Monnit or your reseller

2. Using Windows Explorer, rename the file at the following location to “ExpressCore.db.old”

   Note: you will need Administrator privileges in order to do this.

   C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\ExpressCore\

3. Restart the computer

4. Launch the Services.msc program in Windows (you can generally search “services” in Windows Search)

   Note: you will need Administrator privileges in order to do this.

5. Find the iMonnit Express service list of the Services.msc program of Windows, right click, and select Stop
6. Find the iMonnit Express service list of the Services.msc program of Windows, right click, and select Start
7. Clear your cache and cookies from your browser
8. Attempt to visit the “localhost” site in your browser
9. Complete the iMonnit Express Activation
